Front Office – Accounts Coordinator
About our practice:
The Atlanta Dental Center has been serving patients in Atlanta since 1982. We offer a high-paced clinical environment with the latest dental technology (CEREC, 3D X-Rays, Digital X-Rays, Advanced Oral Photography, paperless patient charts, etc.). Our doctors are highly accomplished amongst their peers with Fellowships and Accreditations in a variety of dental associations. We offer benefits and clear routes to skill improvements (including training).
We do not participate in any insurance networks, however, we do accept insurance and we see many new patients every day we are open. We also have specialist dentists on staff, including a Periodontist. We have full-time employment (40hrs) for all staff.

The Hours for this Position: Monday 8:50 am- 5:00 pm, Tuesday 7:50am-5:00 pm, Wednesday 8:50 am-7:00 pm, Thursday 7:50 am-5:00 pm, and Friday 7:20 am-3:00 pm.
Your Mission(s): Your primary missions are to:
- Professionally and in a friendly manner call patients with overdue balances and help them get their account current by paying their past balances or getting insurance claims paid, etc.
- Review the schedule in advance and check each patient’s account to ensure the account is current before dental services are rendered.
Specific responsibilities & duties:
- Calling on overdue patient accounts and helping the patient bring the account current Processing payments from patients and recording them on the ledgers
- Inspecting and flagging patient accounts that need attention before treatment is rendered
- Processing and sending insurance claims on behalf of the patient for services performed
- Scanning and recording any papers created as a result of the patient’s visit
- Creating & updating patient files in Dentrix software
- Reprocessing/resubmitting insurance claims with photos, narratives, etc., when needed
- Graciously, professionally and in a very friendly manner helping patients with any questions regarding their visit or dental services
- Other administrative and organizational duties, as assigned, associated with front office duties
Required qualifications:
- Ability to accurately account for funds paid by a variety of payment methods (cash, check, credit, 3rd party financing)
- Excellent multitasking
- Excellent math skills (accounting based)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent phone skills
- Ability to present a genuinely friendly, welcoming, and professional demeanor at all times
- Competent computer skills required and ability to quickly learn new software
- Proficient Dentrix software skills with all modules of the software.
- Must speak and write English fluently and clearly.
